the return of the shroom

As far as I can remember, I had three nonstop super proxy days two months back. I was just not able to “put it in blogging” because I was too pre-occupied of concerning the lives of other people and come to think about it, the lives of their loved ones too.

“We’re happy to serve you” as they say but I say I’m happy being happy in a different way. And so despite all the hassles in life that I have then, I made it a point to loosen up a bit and have a hard-hitting, mind-blowing weekend. That was stellar. I feel so excited to blurt this out, so much that I don’t know now where to start. Anyway, to avoid inconvenience, I’ll just do it chronologically.

DAY 1: August 29, 2008 ‘twas my rest day and I was planning to sleep the whole day when suddenly my sister & I decided to play bowling with her friends instead. We scored discounted tix so we were full of excitement and because of that, we weren’t able to play. Haha! Our minds went so lost in thought due to the intense thrill that we forgot something very necessary for the game -socks. Then again, we chose not to fret, we can still use the ticket some other time anyway. Good thing we were with Matet and Matet was with Julie and Julie’s with Delfin and Delfin’s with…I for got his name. Anyhow, because of that connection, we were able to crash into backdoor ventures 4th annual arts & music festival. We’ve done a lot of cam-whoring stunts with diverse art works & musicians; grab hold of various performances from the dorques, fmd, bembol rockers, 18th issue, jeepney joyride, drip & the dawn to name a few. We went home with full beam after drinking some at Tet’s house. Though I wasn’t able to see the “green fairy,” the tofu that we all shared was enough to satisfy my craving for a fine trip after all.

DAY 2: August 30, 2008. 5…4…3…2…1…sa wakas! The day that every 80’s people were all waiting for. The “awakening of the sleeping beast,” indeed. ERASERHEADS: The Reunion. Yes it happened. And as we all know, it’s still an unfinished business – we have no freakin idea of what’s gonna happen next. Whatever that may be, I’m just a little too proud to say that I became a part of the band’s history. As if. *whatever yaya* hehe.. ely+buddy+marcus+me & the rest of the eheads fans = goosebumps with a whole lotta fun! Not to mention the fireworks.

Day 3: August 31, 2008. lalalafang @ rosario cause it’s Zion’s baptism. After that I went straight to mega to catch the closing party of backdoor venture’s 4th annual arts & music festival. Although I wasn’t able to squeeze in my schedule to see quezo perform, I still saw Ian T. banging the big indigenous drum together with various artists for the finale. The rest of barangay tibay were also all hyped up. It’s so nice to see cosmic love & sinosikat back to back with free chocolate flavored booze beside the stage. How I wish I can sing like Kat does. Anyway, I also wanna say that it certainly is “a small world afterall” because..surprise, surprise! We saw sir cosare – our stig prof in piyu inside EE’s booth that night. I knew it…

Alifbata sessions won’t be totally complete without him. Pix.pix!

Now this is what I call ma kulcha…
